The ABI Geneamp 9700 Thermal Cycler is a modular PCR system that provides results in a matter of minutes. The dual 96 well blocks are made for use with 0.2 mL reaction tubes or 96-well reaction plates for high-throughput PCR, cloning, and cycle sequencing applications. The heated lid and unique thermal isolation frame ensure oil-free operation in the 0.5µl format. The graphical user interface (GUI) of this PCR system allows the user to create their own protocols, up to 100 programs and saves them in their own folders on board. This allows the thermal cycler to be used by multiple people making it an ideal instrument to be shared between departments.  The ABI 9700 takes up a very small footprint in the lab and is great for laboratories battling for bench space.
